The Pyon solution 1 (PS-1) battery monitoring circuit is a combined 14-cell monitor, protector, and cell balancer with various built-in self-diagnostic functions intended for high-reliability automotive applications.

The heart of the PS-1 is a high-performance EV battery monitoring IC from Texas Instruments. Intended for automotive applications, the IC has many functional blocks and self-diagnostic test capabilities. Eight analogue AUX ADC inputs and six GPIO connections monitor and detect fault conditions such as overvoltage and overtemperature.

Designed for a 48V LIB solution. The PS-1 is aimed at electrifying the smaller EV market, such as 2-wheel mopeds/scooters and 3-wheel rickshaws/L5 category. 

2.4 ms Nominal conversion time

High speed conversion of data (ADC) from each cell. Allowing
for time-resolved data with a 2.4ms sampling rate. 

14-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) with Internal Reference

Allows for voltage resolution of +/- 152microvolts, meaning the data acquired is highly accurate. 

8 AUX Inputs for sensors

Flexible communication for monitoring and detecting various fault conditions such as overvoltage, overtemperature, and communication faults.
